Panasonic is boosting its range of travel zoom compact camera along with the Lumix ZS70 (entitled as the TZ90 outside the United States).

Panasonic has succeeded in cramming even more pixels onto the sensor, improving the resolution from 18.1 Mega Pixel to 20.3 Mega Pixel. It would be enough interesting to watch out how image quality performs, as the increase from 12 Mega Pixel on the ZS50 / TZ70 to 18 Mega Pixel on the ZS60 / TZ80 actually had a bad outcome in low light.

There is a 4K video capture whereas the ZS70 / TZ90 also features the 4K Photo function of Panasonic which permits the consumer to capture shots at 30 frames per second and then extract the still images at 8 Mega Pixel equivalent resolution.

To take the benefit of all 20 million pixels it is possible to shoot at over 10 frames per second, whereas the ZS70 / TZ90 promises a 0.1-second Auto Focus speed, along with a range of AF functions that include Touch AF, 49-point Auto Focus and Low Light Auto Focus.

The 3 inches touchscreen display now leans forwards away from the body for those who wish to take the selfies, it will automatically enter into self-shot mode.

Besides the rear display there is also a 0.2 inches, 1,166k-dot Electronic View Finder providing the consumer enough flexibility to compose his/her snaps however he/she like.

The Lumix ZS70 / TZ90 would be available for sale from along with the price tag of almost $449.99 / £399. The price for Australia is not confirmed yet.
